WebP keeps transparency like PNG but is far smaller, so it is a good swap for PNG images on a website.
The conversion runs in your browser with the same engine as every PixelPilot tool, so your pictures stay on your device and there is no watermark or file limit per day.
How to use it
- Add one or more PNG files.
- They are converted to WebP automatically.
- Download each file, or all of them as a ZIP.
Formats and limits
- Opens
- JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), AVIF where your browser decodes it, BMP
- Saves
- JPEG, PNG, WebP (AVIF appears only if this browser can encode it)
- HEIC, TIFF and SVG are not supported.
- Colour profiles are converted to sRGB by the browser.
