Privacy policy
What happens to your files and data when you use PixelPilot. Last updated 23 October 2026.
Your files
PixelPilot processes images and PDFs inside your web browser, using the browser’s own image engine, background workers, and the open-source libraries listed below. The site has no upload endpoint: when you add a file, PixelPilot does not send it, its name, or its contents to us or to anyone else.
Files and results exist only in your browser tab’s memory while you use them. They are not written to storage, and they are discarded when you remove them, clear the workspace, reload or close the tab.
What is stored in your browser
If you save a preset, its settings (format, quality, dimensions and similar values) are stored in your browser’s local storage under the key pixelpilot.presets.v1. File contents, names and results are never stored. You can delete saved presets from any tool’s “Saved presets” panel or by clearing site data in your browser.
Network requests
The website itself (pages, scripts, styles and fonts) is served from our static host. Like any web server, the host may record standard request data such as IP address, user agent and the page requested, under its own policy. Fonts are served from the same site, not from a third-party font service.
Analytics
Analytics is currently switched off. If we turn it on, we will use a cookie-less, aggregate service, limit events to the tool name, goal, output format and outcome (never file names, sizes, dimensions or contents), and update this page first.
Advertising
PixelPilot does not show ads at the moment. If ads are added, they will be served by an approved provider, placed away from the tools, shown only after any consent the law requires, and described on this page before they go live.
Payments
No payments are taken at the moment. If the Pro plan opens, payment will be handled by Stripe on its own checkout page.
Errors
PixelPilot does not send error reports anywhere. Error messages are shown to you on screen only.
Open-source components
pdf-lib (MIT) and pdf.js (Apache 2.0) for PDFs, UPNG.js (MIT) for PNG palette reduction, fflate (MIT) for ZIP files, and Familjen Grotesk and Geist (SIL Open Font License) for type. All are bundled with the site.
Changes and contact
We will update this page when behaviour changes and change the date at the top. See the contact page.
