Remove photo metadata
Photos can carry the place they were taken, the camera and the time. See what is inside, then remove it without touching the pixels.
How to use it
- Add photos. Each shows what metadata it contains, including GPS.
- Keep the colour profile (recommended) or remove it too.
- Remove and download. Every file is checked again before you get it.
Formats and limits
- Opens
- JPEG, PNG, WebP
- Saves
- Same format, same pixels
- GIF, BMP and AVIF are not supported here.
- Removing EXIF also removes the rotation tag; a few photos may then show sideways (the tool tells you which).
Remove photo metadata questions
No. Metadata blocks are cut out and the image data is copied byte for byte.
Each cleaned file is scanned again before download; if any EXIF, GPS or XMP remains, the tool stops and tells you.
