PDF compressor
Two honest ways to shrink a PDF, both on your device. PixelPilot reports the real size afterwards, including when a file could not be made smaller.

How to use it
- Add a PDF.
- Choose Repack (lossless) to keep text, links and forms, or Page images to shrink scans and image-heavy files.
- For Page images, choose resolution and quality. Text becomes part of the image.
- Run it. You get the measured size and whether it actually shrank.
- Download the result, or keep your original if it is already smaller.
Formats and limits
- Opens
- PDF (not password-protected)
- Saves
- Repack does not re-compress images inside the PDF, so savings on photo-heavy PDFs are small. That’s why the page-image mode exists.
- Page-image mode makes text unselectable and unsearchable and removes links and form fields.
- Password-protected PDFs are refused.
- Page-image mode handles up to 60 pages on the free plan.
PDF compressor questions
Many PDFs are already well packed. Repacking can’t remove bytes that aren’t there, and PixelPilot shows you the real result instead of claiming a saving.
No. Both modes run in your browser using the open-source pdf-lib and pdf.js libraries.
Use Repack for documents you need to search or sign. Use Page images for scans or slide decks where small size matters more than selectable text.
